HELP! Answers Please!?!

By
Real Estate Agent with Florida Property Experts

This post is just for me to ask a couple of questions. I'd like some answers or advice from those of you who have experience in these areas.enter

1. I have a profile setup on Trulia, and sometimes answer questions. And I've provided my web site, to be searched for my current real estate listings.

But I've never paid for their Featured Listings program. The price is affordable, but is the return worth it? I also noticed the "Advertising for Agents" section, but I haven't looked into that. Does anyone have an opinion on either of these Trulia programs?

2. I have my real estate listings posted on CraigsList. Many of you are going to roll your eyes at me on this one. I should know how to do this, (actually, I suspect I do, but I'm unsure) but I haven't completely figured out how to post listings in a professional flyer format, instead of just the text, a small amount of HTML, and 4 photos. Any help please? How do I insert a full flyer onto CraigsList?

Any help/advice is appreciated! Thanks!

Oh! One more thing. Has anyone noticed that CraigsList uses the Google "no follow" code when you link to your web site from them?  That really irked me, so I posted my web site, without the actual link. I can't decide if it's more detrimental to make the buyer's cut and paste, or be able to follow a link but get no help in the SEO department. So I guess this is question number 3. Any opinions on that one?

postlets.com will let you create some amazing flyers that can be put on craigslist.  I haven't done it in a while but am thinking of revamping this and doing it again

Postlets is great and I've heard of vflyers.com as well.  One thing to think about re Craigslist is what you want to prospect to do with the info you provide.  If you give too much there would be no need to come to your web site for additional information.  If you want to try and direct them to your web site you may want to put only a couple photos have have them click to see additional information at your web site.  I don't know about the "no follow" thing, but my goal for craigslist is to get the prospect to contact me via email or by filling out a form at my web site.  I hope this helps.  Thanks.

I don't go on Craigslist since my aunt went to look for furniture and clicked on a link to look at a couch and a virus incorporated itself into her machine.

You can use vflyers or realestate shows to post the flyers on craigslist. Either one gives you the html. Once you set up an account, you log on add the html, address, price, location and follow the rest. It is easy.

Linda, Catherine, Matt, Missy & Jay- I suspected that would be the case. I've been reluctant to join these programs since I've been so turned off by the spam that comes from most people who use them. I guess I'll have to determine the least of the offenders and use that one.

Sally- Wouldn't she have to download something for that to happen? I would hope my firewall, anti-virus, worm filters, etc would catch that.

She clicked on the link and it said she NEEDED something ...and yes....she downloaded something... Then she sends me the link.....delete.....

She's in her 70's and just learning. I just can't believe people do that stuff.

Sally- I'm sorry to hear that. I wish the sales people would do more to educate and/or protect the people who're buying their first computers.

Lisa - I use vFlyer.com.....Postlets work good as well. It's very easy to load the vFlyer or Postlet code onto craigslist. If you want me to walk you through, just give me a call. (360) 440-4758

Yes, postlets is cool, but we also get great response with liner ads in Craigslist.
