Pep Talk!
Real estate and a whole list of troubles have some of my clients and friends ready for a big cry. Are you ready for a big cry or in the middle of a big cry right now? It's ok to embrace your emotions. It's better to express yourself. Don't try to stuff your emotions. Pain and loss are part of life. They give you compassion and empathy, hopefully.
Emotional days are part of the ebb and flow of life. Sadness, anger and frustration are like the moon and tide's effect on the ocean. The emotional flow helps you grow and deal with the things that need attention in your life. All of us need to grow. There is no comfort in the growth zone. There is no growth in the comfort zone.
Expecting nothing but good moods would be like expecting nothing but sunshine. The earth would burn and bear no fruit. We need the dark of night, rain and storms. Even the wild fire is necessary to nourish the earth.
Expecting nothing but good moods would be like expecting nothing but parties in life. We also need to work out, clean our home, learn things and care for others and be nurtured by others. We need days to rest, recover and grow.
Sadness allows introspection and an editing of ourselves and our lives. Sadness and unhappiness push us to correct things in ourselves and in our lives.
