Now that sites like Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter are available, you would think that it would be easy to find out what people are saying or thinking about you, but in actuality, it’s hard to get a consensus of your performance as a working professional. Not too many people will rush to your Facebook page and give you an honest, trustworthy review that others can use when determining if you are a worthy candidate for their real estate needs.

Wouldn’t it be great if people flocked to agent review sites like they do movie and restaurant sites? Then you could check your profile with ease, see what people are saying, and work on improving. But wait … do they already? Check out these four highly regarded real estate agent rating sites and see what others are saying about you.

Zillow.com

Zillow has one of the largest databases of real estate agents. Written reviews, current listings, and quality ratings are all presented.

Pros:

• Provides a wealth of knowledge from ratings to contributions to listings and reviews.
• Contact info is clearly marked and it’s easy to see ratings.
• The contact form is placed clearly and unintrusively.

Cons:

• Information overload. Especially on an overview page, every single detail is included when some information could be left off.

Trulia.com

Agents listed on Trulia can include a bio, recommendations and other info in their profiles.

Pros:

• Information is much more condensed and easier to look through.
• Treated very similar to a product rating on retail sites like BestBuy.com.

Cons:

• Again, more useless information. “Interest/Specialties” are redundant categories.
• Has a Yahoo! Answers type of feel to it.
• Disconnect between blog on Trulia and external blog.

MountainofAgents.com

Mountain of Agents has no written reviews, offering just the basic necessities.

Pros:

• Easiest site to read and understand.
• NO written reviews to prevent trolling, rant fests, and ghost written reviews.

Cons:

• Sheer lack of numbers. Smallest data base of any out there currently.

National Association of Realtors

The National Association of Realtors is a large organization with many agent listings.

Pros:

• Largest amount of agents online.

Cons:

• Majority of information missing, with very few profiles filled out.
