It has been another great month in the Huntsville Real Estate market. Here we are ready to recap our Huntsville statistics for the month of October as of today November 9, 2007. I am very excited to report that there were 228 homes sold and closed in Huntsville during October!!! This number is right in line with this month last year where there were 227 homes sold and closed in Huntsville. This is awesome news for buyers and sellers because the Huntsville real estate market is continuing to move at a steady pace.
Huntsville home sales represent the majority of the homes sold in Madison County last month. There are some parts of the country that are really experiencing sluggish market conditions right now but Huntsville has kept a steady pace. The total October home sales for Huntsville totalled $43,521,731!
The sold homes of Huntsville can be broken down into the following areas:
- Northwest Huntsville: 53 sold homes averaging 74 days on the market
- Northeast Huntsville: 17 sold homes averaging 79 days on the market
- Southwest Huntsville: 63 sold homes averaging 93 days on the market
- Southeast Huntsville: 63 sold homes averaging 107 days on the market
- East Huntsville: 32 sold homes averaging 122 days on the market
The average number of days on the market for Huntsville for the month of October was 85 days which is up very slightly from average of 81 days on the market we saw for sold homes last month. The average price of sold homes in Huntsville for October was $190,885. This month last year the average selling price was only $162,457!! In October, the median selling price was $159,900.
