I like Zamzows...It is a local gardening and pet store. They also have some farm supplies. They do not sell dogs and cats (but allow them to be adopted out by the humane society). They also greoom dogs. This is a local to Idaho chain. They are local. They know there stuff....The money they make stays in Idaho, Even my favorite Idaho Governor, Cecil Andrus, appeared in a commercial with his dog.
So as I read my local paper I noted that Zamzows is having a pet food sale. Many of these foods are made in the USA. They also make there own brand of pet food. Not only that if you buy the pet food pet supplies are 20 % off. Sounds great to me!

This sale starts on Nov. 17 and goes to Nov. 21. I am going there and stocking up on pet food. They are making it easy to buy local.
I feel it is important to support our local stores. The profit stays in our community. The jobs are better and the management and owners live in our community. They support our community. We know that any improvement in the economy will be from small businesses. Heck we are are all small business people. I also like to go to my local hardware stores...If you want to help America recover go to your local small business and support them...It might cost a little more in upfront costs but it will have rewards for your community!
