My Favorite Happy Hour Spots after work in Downtown Seattle

Services for Real Estate Pros with ActiveRain

After working a long day at ActiveRain getting Real Estate folks to embrace the new way to get business through blogging their great ideas and experiences on the net, my mouth is usually parched from talking so much! So the first thing that comes to mind is where I can get some cheap quality drinks and cheaper quality food at cheap prices. Did mention that I didn't want to spend much money? Hahahaha! Darn tootin'!

So I usually head down to the Coutour on First Ave and park somewhere on Western Ave to avoid all the crazy traffic. The bar is usually half full when I get there, but fills up by the time dinner rolls around which is usually my cue to head home to the Ponderosa. The drink specials are just OK, but the food is off the chain! Where else can you get Lamb Ka Bobs for $4? Or a Gruyere Mac and Cheese dish for $5? My favorite though is the Provolone Cheeseburger for $3! It's relaxing to chill and watch folks bustle by trying to catch a bus or just observing the bums look for their next meal as you sip on your $3 Pilsner Urquell or $2 22 oz. can of Pabst and munch on your cheap eats. One thing though, when you get your $16 bill make sure you tip like a bigtimer. Don't get cheap with the tip or else they will remember you like a jilted elephant!

If I'm feeling like I want to go somewhere a little nicer, but still don't want to spend too much money, then I head down to McCormick and Schmicks for their Happy Hour. Now let me warn you right now. Their drink specials suck! Do not buy drinks here. They are full priced and will blow you bill up at the end. The food is really really good and fresh though. Of course I love their half pound freshly ground steak burger with chipolte mayonaise for $3! I also like the woodsy feel of the place and the Brooks Brothers type folks there all stressed out about their jobs and mortgage payments. There is one drink that is a buck though, the fresh made Irish Coffee's. Yum.

My final fav place to go is Palomino's in the City Centre. Lots of lovely people to observe doing their shopping and looking classy as ever. All I have to say is pizza, pizza, pizza. I love the cheap pizzas you get here and they are so so so flippin good. Fresh ingredients and a wood burning oven to bring north Tuscany to rainy Seattle. The beers are a good price and they give you a whole pounder instead of those thick glasses or mugs that fool you into thinking you have more beverage than you actually do!

Well thats my quick run down of what I like after work from ActiveRain here in Seattle! Peace out!
