Kathy, These were cabins that I think were used by men cutting timber for railroad ties. They are very high in the mountains and I bet they would have some interesting stories?

Marge, I loved your comment about hogans. They probably would be standing today and a lot less work to build. The same with teepees -- they might not be around today but they were remarkably well designed.

Lynn, I hadn't though of the old chimneys -- I bet some of them would make some fantastic photos. I hope you are having a happy day today too.

In Montana I saw similar houses. It was from logging the land a long time ago too. I have friends that use to find things at these types of places. They always look for the out house area as that is where a lot of the stuff was left.
