Just Before the Storm
Today while driving home from my open house, I noticed the sky was getting dark and purple. I took a few pictures as it was just beautiful. By the time I got home, I knew the storm was near as the birds were on alert, chirping loudly and getting settled in for the hard night ahead. Birds may be small and certainly not as smart as humans but they sure sense when the storm is coming.
I love the way these tiny finches showed up on the tree tops.
And this bird up on the chimney top was squawking as loud as possible like he was warning the others "Storm a coming."
Within a few hours we will have a torrential thunder storm.
