Buying a home........First you will need to find a Realtor that you trust, is honest and knowledgeable in the area. Than you will need a lender to qualify you for a loan if you are not paying with cash. Your Realtor will be able to help you with a lender. Once you have your price range the excitement begins!
Most people will know the city they want, next is to find the area within the city. You will need to do some of your own research, drive around to different neighborhoods to find the location you are happy with. Your Realtor, will be able to find listings within that are you like. Don't settle for 2-3 homes to view, view as many as you need to to find the best home for you. Go back a 2nd or even a 3rd time. Open closets, cabinets, look under sinks open and shut windows, people will look over a car purchase more than a home. Write notes on the listing print out, things you like that will help you remember the home. Write no if you don't like it.
Once you find at least 3 that you like you will need to find out how much insurance will be, property taxes and association fees if any. This will help you narrow down what one you like. Once you found the one you like have your Realtor get you comps in the neighborhood this will help you with the price to offer.
The most important part in buying a home you need to trust your Realtor! Once you have made a connection, that Realtor will work hard for you and in your best interest!
