The first real snow of the season hit us yesterday.
This is about the average date for our first snow. Last years we had snow 2 weeks earlier.
I don't want to sound like I am complaining, I really am not. I just have a lot of work to get done that would be a lot easier without the snow.
But, the snow puts many people back to work at least for a day or two, which is good.
Now, if everyone could only learn to drive again!
Snow does make many things much harder to do. But, it does help our rural economy get through the slow winter.

Time to get ready for all of the winter sports! I hope that your new barn is done so you have more time to play.
I heard it will melt because the temps are going to be up this week. We will see what happens.
Bill, another week would have been great. But, I can't complain it was a great fall!
I havfe a few days work that would go much easier if we had no snow. Getting warm for the weekend, should all be gone. Hopefully long enough to get my work done.
Bill, you have no idea of the meaning your words take on: "Now, if everyone could only learn to drive again!" when we get a snow here in Alabama...I find it best to just stay off the roads which works well since the whole town closes down anyway when there is a threat of a snowflake falling.
