Recently, I have been "searching" for a new search engine. Yahoo and Google and Bing drive me crazy with all the filters they have on us. Google and Yahoo and Bing say they do not track you, but they do. Don't be fooled. When you type in what you want to search - they filter it according to your search habits - you know, your browing history. I don't appreciate that. I want to know everything, not just what interests me. I want truth, I want information - is that so difficult?

I don't want just what the search engines think will interest me. What has this world come to? Just providing me information that the robots on the search engines want me to know - that's crazy. That is the future - but not mine.

Duck Duck Go Search Engine claims they do not track your web history.

Let us see - I will keep you posted.

All the big search engines collect to much data on ua when we use their search engine. It can be harmful to our computer but most importance is our security.

**Very True.** However, I think they ALL track info users. To these search engines, all that seems to matter is, finding ways to make money, anyway they can. With all the mass technology, people are also becoming robots. Very sad to see this. Smiles, Myrna :) :) :)

Brett - That should be illegal - how can they get away with the invasion of privacy. It has to be stopped. It is George Orwellian and it is alarming to say the least.

Myrna - This search engine claims they do not - I will look into it. I have enjoyed it so far. When you do a search on Google and then do a search on Duck Duck Go and let me know what you find out. Thanks

Can't see stopping the information gathering when you give up your rights agreeing to their terms at subscription. This is another case of Americans thinking something is free when it costs tens of millions to produce. I don't like the idea of being tracked so I don't do a lot of things that would give them information.

Gary - I am constantly trying to find ways to keep from being tracked by those who want to make money off of me and my family and friends.

But not only the tracking part - I want to gain information on the particular subject I am searching for - not just what others "want" me to hear.
