Best police excuse…

I heard this from a pastor so I’ll take it to be true.  As the story goes an officer was working the late shift when he observed a vehicle approaching a stop light.  With his experience he knew the vehicle was not going to be able to stop.  Yep there it went right through the light.  When he stopped the vehicle a petite young lady was driving.  He immediately saw she was not intoxicated.  So he asked her for the drivers’ license, registration and insurance.  Then the important question actually two.  Young lady did you see that the light was red and if so why did you run it.

Are you ready for the answer?

OK here we go.  She told him she had just got her brakes replaced and they had cost a small fortune and she did not want to wear them out……J

Hi James,

Was this young lady a blonde by any chance?

What id the officer do after the excuse to him?

Probably shook his head and sent her home with a warning.

Best, Clint McKie
