What does serenity mean to you?

The meaning of serenity:  Serenity is a state of calm peaceful bliss.

How often do you feel serenity?  Is this something we can feel all the time or only when we are on vacation?

There are many things that can bring us to a state of serenity.  A smell in the kitchen that brings back good childhood memories. Or maybe a walk through the park with the beautiful scenery all around. One simple way to find serenity is to slow down stop what you are doing and take a break.

Taking the time to figure out the things in life that will bring you serenity will only enhance and inspire your life.  So what does serenity mean to you?

This was beautiful, Amy, and something that we need to keep in mind often.  With a mother who is almost 91 and a developmentally delayed daughter and a thriving business, there is little 'peaceful' time for me.  Great reminder.  I used to walk to the water every day to 'recharge my batteries.' Not so much water around here :))

For me, the peace that passes understanding is in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Even when the world is crumbling around me, there is joy. No the kind of joy that most would think of. The joy of knowing that the very worst day of my life on this earth is the closest thing to Hell that I will ever know. ♥

Amy, Great post. I try to pay attention to nature to find serenity.  Today I was putting up siding but stopped to watch an ermine playing in the snow.  He looked so cute as he raced around -- all white except for the black tip of his tail.

Serenity doesn't happen enough for us on our daily lives.  Stress is more the rule on a daily basis.  Thanks for reminding me to seek serenity.  I am hoping this weekend in the Poconos will bring that back to me, and recharge my batteries.  Have a Happy Thanksgiving Amy!

Serenity definitely doesn't happen as often as I would like!  :-)
