Luxury Real Estate Marketing: The Majesty of Bird of Paradise/Wordless Wednesday

bird of paradise in Santa Barbara

As we traversed Santa Barbara from one to the other running errands, we kept noticing that the bird of paradise is in full bloom and looking glorious.  We have often included them in a bouquet on our Thanksgiving table, as they lend an air of drama.

Happy Wednesday, and take a moment and check out what is growing in your world.  Cheers, Ron & Alexandra

John.

Thank You, we wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving, A

Kevin,

I am sure you will, Florida has exquisite orchids that we do not grow here.  They are simply the best for a decor as they last for so long. A

Debb,

Thanks for you thoughts about the colors, I had not thought of that.  And, A Very Happy Thanksgiving to you also. A

The bird of paradise is beautiful, but I learned from 1999-2001 when we had many of them on a home that we had bought that they are better suited for someone else's property. That way we don't have to take care of them or get poked by their very sharp, pointed leaves. They can get really messy looking if you don't prune the dead foliage and blooms, but beware of those pointed leaves. Ouch!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Sharon,

Thanks, we always we appreciate your comments and thoughts. A

Aimee,

We are all very blessed in So Cal are we not?  We appreciate it so much, especially after living in Northern California, beautiful, but not to our liking.  Like Goldielocks, we found the perfect spot. A

Toni,

Sad to hear yours are frazzled, however, I am certain you have some glorious beauties growing to grace your table. A

Gloria,

Thank you and we wish you the same.  It is a lovely name, had whoever named it been to heaven in another life? LOL A

Jim,

Yes, every plant needs loving care and has its prickles.  I love roses, and our home in Los Angeles had 150 rose bushes, which I took care off.  The gardener was only allowed to dead head.  I would do it again, but in lesser numbers. A

Gary,

Thank you for your comment.  They are one of Nature's magnificent creations. A
