If You Were My Next Listing, Where Would You Be?

    I am constantly asking my wife, Kathy, " If you were my car keys, where would you be?"

    She usually responds,"If I were your car keys, I would be hanging on the key rack by the door."

    If I were your next listing, I would be on today's list of expired listings

    If I were your next listing, I would be advertising my house For Sale By Owner

    If I were your next listing, I would be asking my friends if they know a good Realtor

    If I were your next listing, I would be looking on my refrigerator for that magnet that that Realtor knocked on my door and gave to me two years ago.

    If I were your next listing, I would be reading that newsletter that comes in the mail even though I threw ten of them away before I became interested in selling my house.

    If I were your next listing, I would be speaking to that lady in the grocery store wearing that name badge from XYZ Realty.

    If I were your next listing, I would be walking into a Open House in my own neighborhood so I could "get a feel for the market"

    If I were your next listing, I would be calling my neighbor that has his house listed and finding out if they are happy with their Realtor.  I know their house is listed because I received a post card informing me of this hot news.

    If I were your next listing, I would respond to that ad offering a free market analysis.

    If I were your next listing, I would be looking at a summons from the clerk of the circuit court informing me that my house is being foreclosed.  I would probably go to my computer and look for some articles and information to help me with this crushing problem.

    If I were your next listing, I would be at the local Rotary club or Kiwanis club or Garden club.  If this weeks' speaker was a local Realtor telling us about the local situation, I would go talk to that guy after the meeting.

    If I were your next listing, I would be at church and I would know that my church friend is in real estate and can help me.

    If I were your next listing, I would probably be out running a 5K race on Saturday morning.  When I saw you wearing your Climer School Of Real Estate T-Shirt, I would probably ask, "Are you in real estate?".  When you told me you just finished Broker school, I would be imprssed.

    If I were your next listing, I would probably be at a real estate investment club meeting learning how to better invest in real estate.

    If I were your next listing, I would certainly be glad when you called me to help me solve the biggest problem in my life right now.
