Please Vote - Tuesday Nov. 6, 2007

Exercise your right to vote this Tuesday!  One local paper states they expect 70% of the registered voters to skip the polls.  Lets prove them wrong.  We might not have the perfect system nor the perfect candidates but that should not excuse us from exercising our right to vote.  Us it or don't complain!  The following links provide significant information - I've tried to keep it as unbiased as possible.

This appears to be a general checklist for the eastern counties of PA (Berks, Bucks, Montgomery, Lehigh & Northampton).  May not be 100% complete/accurate - I did not see the slot for our township auditor.

Bucks County Polling Places

The following links to the Bucks County Government site provides a list of candidates and questions.   If I recall correctly last Thursday's Issue of The Bucks County Herald - available for free at many locations around the county has a complete ballot write up with questions to the candidates and their answers.  I've also included the link where you can look at results when they come in.

I very rarely miss an election.  I did forget the last primary election though and felt mildly guilty afterward (I really didn't like anyone running anyway, but that's not the point...)

My parents never voted and I never understood that.  (Well, they also pronounced Ronald Reagan's name as Reeeegan...lol).  They would gripe about the President in office or the Governor or what have you...but they never voted for anyone else.  To me that disqualifies you from having the right to gripe.

Karen & Dan - I am on my way to the booths now.  Taking my 11 year old with me.  She won't have the memories of standing in long lines!   It's a very small district in comparison to where I grew up.  Her 5th grade teacher (last year) is on the ballot for Township Auditor.   Most of our decisions are easy there is only on person running...
