Thanksgiving done OUR way..........
By now most of you realize I ( we, lady G and I ) don't always beat to the same drummer as the rest of the world.
While families were gathered around the table we took a different approach. Every other year we set out for a hike, yes a hike.
2 years ago we were lost in the woods for a couple of hours and ended up on private property which was not appreciated lol.
So we packed a small lunch.
This thing was packed and I mean packed ( even with turkey) 18" long chibatta bread, potato salad,chips,dips,cannolis,cheesecake and of coarse
This year we set course for Roger Williams State Park. I let Lady G pick the destiny in Traveling Tricksy ( names the GPS ) and off we went.
Well the term Roger Williams is very popular in Rhode Island and the park is the last place we ended up.
The destiny took us to an industrial park that use to be an old naval air base complete with a beech.
The hike turned out to be more of an adventure. The water was so clear (as seen above) you could see down 8-10 feet from where we were roaming.
As night slowly faded in we continued to Newport ( yes life styles of the rich and some famous lol) and strolled the shops..............some open some not.
And yes, the night ended with more desert with friends and family.
Just remember boys and girls.............in life you can't get lost if you don't know where your going.
As long as your with who you want to be with.
