My friends, what is it that you need so bad that you would camp out all night long to go get it? In the world of consumerism, what drives someone to do that? What do you need and do not have? You wouldn't do for toothpaste, socks, hair products, smaller priced items and on the expensive stuff, do you or someone you know have to have it?
STAR WARS & LORD OF THE RINGS
Please, help me understand. I have seen people camp out for Star Wars and Lord of the Rings movies. Okay, I understood that because it is memorable and you are with friends and you can tell that story over and over how you were the first. It is silly, acceptable fun and the American way
PERHAPS LOGIC DOESN'T WORK HERE
Standing in line during a recession to purchase things for your self or others with the single thought of beating someone else to a product no matter what is a cruel joke to play on someone. Some people have their worst side brought out as in the case of the women who sprayed pepper spray to get the crowd to disperse so she can improve her position in line...Ingenious tactical maneuver, but really now...
WHEN THE EUPHORIA DIES DOWN....IT BRINGS YOU DOWN WITH IT
In a few short weeks, people will go into reality and realize what they have done. Some of spent money they shouldn't have and or charged it which will burden them for the rest of the year and for what I might ask?
RETAILERS PLAY DUMB
The retailers love this stuff. it is almost perverted in a way. Over the years, people have gotten hurt and retailers rich from this tactic. Why not reduce process so that everyone gets what they want here without having to step over bodies to do so..
I AM NOT AGAINST HALLOWEEN...BUT CONSIDER
It reminds me of Halloween. We buy tens of millions of dollars of candy and give it away. Every one who sells it for a living all year long is out of luck before, during and after-wards until Halloween candy is all absorbed. Why are we paying to give it away? Let the candy makers give it away we keep our money instead...Of course that would cause riots and long lines
Here we go again...
