The clouds over our housing market seem to finally be moving out! Despite the recent economic turmoil, high levels of unemployment and dragging consumer confidence, home values performed better than expected this quarter. Economist Dr. Stan Humphries states " While we still have a ways to go in terms of home value depreciation, the pace at which home values are falling has declined considerably during the course of this year." Some are stating that this slower pace signals that a stabilization is on the horizon. I take this as great news to tell my sellers that are on the fence, and wanting to wait to list their house.
