Reverse 911 Emergency Notification System comes to Post Falls, Idaho

Great news for the Post Falls, Idaho, community! The Post Falls Police Department and Kootenai County Sheriff’s Department just announced that they have installed a Reverse 911 Emergency Notification System. This system sends emergency information to a citizen’s landline, cell phone, or email.

The system is handy for keeping up to date on school closures, dangerous road conditions, emergency incidents, and neighbor crime alerts. The service is free for citizens to use (check with your wireless provider about your texting plan). To sign up for this great new service, visit the Post Falls Police Department website, here.

Thanks! Do you have a similar system in your community? It's a fairly new concept to me.
