"Brian Buffini Destroyed My Career"

By

"Brian Buffini destroyed any chance at a career I may have had" is one response an agent posted back in February of this year after reading this article http://mattgosselin.wordpress.com/2007/08/31/why-brian-buffini-is-ripping-you-off/written by: Matthew S. Gosselin.

So, I thought it might be a good idea and a good way to start out the week to find out what the masses would say about Brian Buffini and his coaching system now that the real estate market has so drastically changed in so many ways. Does it work for every agent? Has it become antiquated in the new world of texting, SkypeFacebook, and Twitter? Does it need revamping?

I myself was a member at one time and absolutely loved his system. It seemed so obvious. In my professional opinion though, I still think the system offers great motivation and probably works best for new agents as well as veteran agents who need to reboot and kick themselves in the butt.

What are your thoughts on Brian Buffini's coaching system?

Without actually hearing and particpating with any program, it's really hard to tell. I work with a number of Realtors that think it is a great system.

Just like any good coach and system you pick and choose what is right for you.  The reminder to earn and keep present to obtain business is always a great system.  Asking for referrals is also overlooked in the business and he gives us a simple way to work it in ... Oh by the way!  There is value in what he offers and then it is up to you to implement, incorporate and build from that foundation of information.

I heard a Buffini representative speak at one of our state conventions. The talk got me really pumped up, and my colleague bought his program. I couldnt afford that kind of thing so I just sat back and watched and heard about everything she was doing to be successful. It's been over two years, and I've sold more real estate in a more rural area of our state than she has in the last two years.

I liken these programs to something like weight watchers. Some people need the push, reminders and support to get the job done. Others don't.

I went to my first Buffini "Turning Point" back in December 2001 and then, when I could afford it, did a year of coaching.  Nurturing his or her sphere should be every agent's first and most basic lead generation program.  The return on investment is high plus you get warm fuzzy leads who are a pleasure to work with.  Buffini isn't the only referral program out there -- Joe Stumpf's "By Referral Only" is also good.

I did one of his sessions about a year ago, didn't really put any of it into action, but I felt that he was teaching a lot of great stuff.  I saved all of the documents and videos to refer back to, but have yet to do so.  Luckily, I was busy selling real estate!

Great program and last year I accomplished more goals than ever before and made more money than ever before. Thank you Buffini
