Although I help others throughout the year that are in need the time of Thanksgiving and Christmas seem to be so much more intense in the desire to help. Last year I stood among other things at a Wal-Mart for hours and rang the bell for the Salvation Army. I did like the idea of helping but goodness was I cold:-). So this year I thought let's get creative and find a different way to help without the freeze lol:-)) Finding out that the brokerage I just recently joined MEYBOHM REALTORS helps to feed the homeless of course I volunteered.  (You can read about the event on WRDW - TV Augusta they were present here is a link to them

I help out where ever I can. I'm going to be sending a check off to the foodbank tonight. I will also buy food when I come across some good holiday sales. One year I donated some of my daughters gently used clothing to a family I knew was in need, but wouldn't ask for help. I just told them I needed the stuff out of my house and would they see if there was anything they could use.

We need to remember that the foodbanks get depleted during the holiday season, and they can also use some help all year round. Also don't forget our furry friends at the animal shelters. A little catnip goes a long way.

Hi there these are some good ideas you know last year I took like a huge bag filled with good close and gave them to a strange I thought could use them. At the moment I have in the Garage house hold goods computer TV etc to help send of to a family who's house burned down as far as the animal shelter I'm little worried I do get attached and don't have the time to commit to some think that would need more thank occasional help or attention but I will look into bringing food to the shelter and see if they may need help for the Christmas season as well. Thank you for your quick reply

Derya, I too love the holiday season of giving! It's wonderful the things you do to help others. I feel like we can do that year round in our business. There are so many opportunities to help those around us. It is one of the wonderful parts of our job.

Hello Gail, I truly believe that but let me ask you what do you do to get others to help a cause? Some times it seems to be so much stronger as a team effort than a individual and every bid matters so any thing in your area that has caught your attention in a team effort helping others?
