Shelter Dogs Deserve a Comfortable Place to Sleep – You Can Help

Kristine captured my heart the first time I ever read a comment she wrote.  She's such a sweet and giving woman. (and a master photographer too).  In catching up on reading my favorite bloggers tonight I found she's still being her generous self and offering a way you can too.  We just added rescue #6 to our family.  But if you can't rescue, you can still help a shelter.

Shelter Dogs Deserve a Comfortable Place to Sleep – You Can Help

The holidays are a time of giving and the perfect opportunity to donate your time, money or a Kuranda dog bed to your local shelter. Most dogs in shelters are so bored or anxious, they will pass the time chewing apart their bed. That’s if your local shelter even supplies beds for dogs which is often not the case.

Usually dogs sleep on the cold, hard, dirty floor. I volunteer at Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter, a wonderful and caring shelter that found a product to remedy this problem. It’s called the Kuranda dog bed which you can donate to your local shelter without even leaving your home!

Kuranda dog beds are indestructible, give dogs a comfortable place to sleep and you can donate them to your local shelter with the click of a button.

Kuranda beds make a great holiday donation gift for the animal lover in your life. Every year when people ask what to get me - I tell them to please donate a Kuranda bed in my name. It's my favorite Christmas and Birthday gift and now many people in my family also ask for a Kuranda bed - the gift of giving!

No other dog bed can compare

* Keeps pets comfortable and dry off the cold, hard floor.

* Easy to keep clean and odor free.

* Last for years and years.

* Top choice of kennels and shelters worldwide!

Kuranda Beds are priced at a special 28% donation discount and they ship directly to the shelter in your name.

There are many things that bring joy and satisfaction into my life and one of them is dogs. I volunteer at Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter, 194 Rt. 10 West. East Hanover, NJ 07936. This is just a peak into some of the wonderful dogs who have been adopted at Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter...

This is Mojo - part Basset Hound, part Pit. Cutest and sweetest dog I  have ever seen! If Lucy was not dog aggressive, Mojo would be part of our family. Luckily for Mojo he only spent 3 weeks in the shelter while we took care of a skin condition, and was adopted the first day he became available! His new family loves and adores him - another Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter success story!

This all started with adopting my Lucy, the love of my life from Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter. She inspired me to put my money where my mouth is and volunteer as a dog walker/care giver. I love every moment of it!

However, when I come home from the Shelter, Lucy smells me up and down and she isn’t happy I’ve been out cavorting with other dogs!

Hi Tammy, Kristine is one of my favorites too (like yourself).  Funny how we all seem to be attracted to the other critter rescue folks in AR.  Congrats on your #6.  We are slowly integrating the homeless labs of Dillsboro with our crew.  They are getting harder and harder to part with, so you'd better move fast!

Tammy, what a great thing! Those beds are very cool indeed, I should also get one for my pooch... interesting!

And those dogs are so cute... I would want all of them. I couldn't do what you do...
