It often takes a while for Fall to embark on Tucson and changes in the tress begin to happen - and it usually occurs near December when the rest of the country calls it "winter"!
Although I had to travel a few miles up in elevation - I did see signs of Fall in the desert. The cell phone camera is all I had at the moment to capture this - so can you imagine what it looks like in living color?!
If you are visiting Tucson right now - the best spots to see the changing colors and enjoy a mix between Fall and Winter - take a scenic drive up the Mt Lemmon/Catalina Highway. There is no place else you can see cactus mixed amongst pine, mesquite and other types of trees - all sporting their own beautiful colors!
