Oregon Convention Center, answer to Where is it Wednesday...somewhere in Portland, OR 11/30/11
Last week's WIIW must have been a wee bit hard...since there was no correct guess for Where is it Wednesday Island Cafe, answer to Where is it Wednesday, somewhere in Portland, OR 11/23/11. So, I figure I'll make this one a bit easier. Each week I'll be posting a new picture on Wednesday morning(ish). The title of the blog will have the City where the picture is taken and I'll post the answer Wednesday evening...not only here on my blog, but on facebook business page (please click like and add yourself there) as well as tweetin it on my Twitter page. Remember, you're free to google or use whatever there is on hand.
Hint: It's a happening place.

The Oregon Convention Center is one of the major places in Portland for events and happenings throughout the year. I've been to car shows, home shows here and yet I've not walked or seen the entire place..you know..typical go to destination and leave..but in doing my research for this, I found out some cool stuff. I had no idea that it hanging from one of the glass spires in the pictures, hangs the worlds largest Foucault Pendulum. Now, I can't believe I would have walked by..or under this without stopping to take it in.
Built in 1990, The Oregon Convention Center was built with sustainability in mind earning it's LEED® in 2004. With it's close proximity to the Max Line and transit stations, it's easy to get to without having to drive..that is unless you live in the burbs like me.
Check out the very informative website!
Kicking off the holiday season at the Oregon Convention Center is the 29th Annual Providence Festival of Trees starting Thursday December 1st, 2011.
The other day I was lucky enough to get not only the Mt. Hood shot I recently blogged about, but this shot as well. It was a good camera day!
