THIS WEEK IN DOOR COUNTY
Where in Door County, Wisconsin can you enjoy an ice cream cone from an establishment that's over 100 years old, watch a sunset for free, and enjoy a fish boil in a building that used to be an old post office? This week we feature EPHRAIM. In celebration of their Christmas festivities on Saturday, December 3, 2011, we have focused on the current real estate opportunities in Ephraim, and have information readily available for discussion.
A small community (and Wisconsin's only "non-alcoholic" ('dry') municipality), the charming Village of Ephraim is nestled in the heart of the Door County Peninsula, between the Village of Sister Bay and the Town of Gibraltar (Fish Creek). Settled in 1853 by Norwegian Moravians on shores of Eagle Harbor, Ephraim takes great pride in its Scandinavian roots. Ephraim’s rich heritage has been carefully preserved in more than 30 historical sites throughout the village, eleven on the National Register of Historic Places.
This weekend's events will feature wagon rides, a live reindeer display, a tree lighting ceremony, food and fun. For schedules and times, please call the Ephraim Visitor Information Center at 920-854-4989

EPHRAIM REAL ESTATE
In a challenging real estate market, Ephraim has held its own by virtue of its small size and limited inventory. As of this writing, only four residential condominiums are available via the Door County Multiple Listing Service. There are several hotel condominium opportunities, but there is one hotel condominium (contract may be pending) available for only $8,000.00--that's a steal! Residence range from the $150,000.00 range to the multi-million dollar range for some of Door County's most exceptional estate homes with shorefront or stellar views of Eagle Harbor.
