The definition of success I like is this: “….the achievement of intention:the achievement of something planned or attempted….you do what you say you will do”. You have defined what success means to you personally, you have mapped out a plan to achieve it, and then you just do it! You are INTENTIONAL with seeking success!
Therefore, in order to discover true success, you must get very INTENTIONAL with your thinking, planning, and doing.
The last 31 days of 2011 are before us. In our homes, Christmas trees are being decorated and sparkle with hundreds of tiny lights. Presents are being carefully wrapped and placed under the tree, beautiful cards are being addressed and mailed, grocery lists are being made. Families are making plans to gather together to celebrate.
At work, there are holiday parties, 2012 business plans to be finalized, gifts and cards to be purchased and mailed for referral partners and clients. And then at Active Rain here are contests to be won - the 2011 December Blogging Challenge, the Active Rain Greeting Card Contest are just two of those.
For me, the last 31 days will be filled not only with the above activities, but also with my continued pursuit of "success" in several areas of my life....“….the achievement of intention:the achievement of something planned or attempted….you do what you say you will do”.
Beginning today, and every day for the remainder of this month, I plan to relentlessly pursue finalization of several of my goals for 2011. On a few of those goals, there are just a few items to be done, and I can check it off and say "DONE". On others, it may take a few hours. On one goal in particular, it will take a few days.
But today......I have determined that I will remember my "why" for 2011. Why did I originally set those goals at the beginning of this year? Why were they important to me? And if they were important to me on January 1, 2011, and they remain important, why wouldn't I press on to "success" with those goals?
What about you? What goals did you set in 2011 that you achieved? What goals are you very close to reaching? Why did you set those goals?
Join with me and let's finish 2011 strong! To YOUR success!
