Motivational Power Quote
Out of the Ashes of Difficulties Comes New Growth
“Difficulties are meant to rouse, not discourage.
The human spirit is to grow strong by conflict.”
William Ellery Channing, poet, Unitarian preacher
As I see it . . . . . . .
Out of the ashes of difficulties comes new growth.
Tuesday and Wednesday of this week there was a controlled burning of over 31,000 acres of the Florida Everglades National Park.
The land in question has not had a fire on it for over forty years. The underbrush is out of control and in the event of a summer wildfire the fire will not be able to be controlled.
With a control burn they will thin out the underbrush restore the health to the land and allow for new growth. One of the many benefits to a control burn in the everglades is out of the ashes the wet prairies saw grass marshes would be restored and experience new growth. Also the pine trees drop pinecones that will open with the fire and drop their seeds into the soil and ashes and allow new grow pine trees to take root and grow in the Everglades.
Nature thins out a forest by fire and from the ashes a new forest takes root and grows.
Our lives are a lot like a forest. Over time our life becomes cluttered with many things that are no longer reinvent or beneficial to us. Additional clutter can be difficulties and challenges that we experience that litter our path and are hindering our growth.
Like the forest we need to clear the clutter out of our life to allow for new growth.
Know that out of the ashes of difficulties comes the new growth.
