This is a typical kind of house I see alot staging here in Cincinnati. This was a great house in a great family neighborhood and priced well but not selling. This home was on the market for 6 months with very little interest and no offers. The home had fantastic selling features but buyers were distracted by decor and zero WOW factor.
The homeowner decided to drop his agent and re-list with someone else. The Realtor he re-listed with just so happened to be very savvy and knew without a shadow of a doubt that the home needed to be staged in order for her to take the listing. Otherwise, this agent knew it would not sell and she would just be wasting his time and her advertising money. The agent personally brought me in for a consultation to get my recommendations and to write up a proposal for staging for her client.
With the proposal accepted a few days later, Stage a Star went to work. We were able to work with much of the homeowners own furnishings but additional props and curtains were used to achieve that "WOW" factor that sells....
After 38 days on the market, this home SOLD! ( by the way...we just finished staging another home in the same neighborhood by referral...:)
