WHEN IS A CHRISTMAS TREE NOT A CHRISTMAS TREE?

RI Gov is a VERY Silly man!

The tree looks PUNY and is not pretty at all.  Looks like a 6 year old did it with his DRUNK father putting the star on top.

According the governor of Rhode Island, Lincoln Chafee, a Christmas Tree is a "Holiday Tree"  What a pinhead.  This is the state that was founded by Roger Williams because of religion.

He rationalized his politically incorrect statement by saying he was just following tradition.  Really.  I watched an interview with the Christmas tree grower who donated the 17 foot spruce tree to the governor.  He was outraged by Governor Chafee's refusal to call his Christmas Tree a Christmas Tree.  Apparently the tree was planted 40 years ago when the business was first started.  He said that this is the last year he is donating a tree to the Governor

I realize that this isn't up there with world peace but really will Christmas now be called Holiday day?

I agree!  It is a Christmas tree!  What is a holiday tree?  What holiday is it?  It is Christmas so it is a Christmas tree.

YES!  And it's unfair to call manhole covers manhole covers!  They should be personhole covers because wymyns can use them too!

Thank goodness for this courageous leader!  Preserving traditions is really, really important!

Holymoly, who really has the time to draw a line in the sand over a Christmas tree?  But, love Jay's suggestion!

People are so dumb with this political correctness.  Seriously what holiday is the tree for?  Give me a break.

Political correct has gone too far. We really need to take back our government. I don't mean that we become a Christian Nation, but we were founded on Christian Principles and if we must be tolerant of everyone else they need to be tolerant of us.

Ah yes, The Christmas Tree, a middle-ages German tradition brought to the US in the mid 1800's.
