Every year for the last five years, techcrunch.com, the wildly popular technology blog, awards the 'Crunchies' to a variety of technology companies in a variety of categories. Think of it as the Oscars for technology.
Past winners have included a who's who of technology companies. Google, Facebook, Apple, Pandora, Foursquare, Groupon (and on and on and on) have all taken home the hardware from the Tech Crunch awards. For some, like Twitter in 2010, it was the whole company walking away with the accolades (Twitter was best startup in 2010.....really? They are still a start up last year? My how time flies). For Apple, it's been products (Think iPad, 'best new device' 2010) taking the stage to thank their mom and end up getting ushered off stage by the 'wrap it up' music.
