Do you follow your dreams?

Durango Rainbow
What are your dreams made of?  Do they involve special places? People?  Favorite events?

After years of dreaming, we exercised them.  The dream was of living in the favorite place I had ever visited.  That was Durango Colorado.  We did not know anyone there and we had an established real estate business in Houston Texas.

The desire was intense to give starting over and experiencing the joys we had felt when visiting that place a chance.

We went for a visit and found a house we could afford...   We also had a rainbow mountaintop experience.  The photo here is one of that rainbow the afternoon we had found the house there.  We were on a hill inside the city and if you look closely, you can see our shadows and our rental cars shadow.

We decided to make an offer on the house and follow our dream!

We put our house on the market and it sold in short order.  We packed up and moved out west!

The experience was a daily challenge but exhilarating.  We made all the license changes and started working.  With 400 agents already established,  and 14000 people it was Not easy...  We experienced hard times and made some of the best friends we have ever had.  We never went hungry but we never had the security of the business we felt we wanted.

The point was that we followed our dream and gave it our best try.  We never have to wonder what would have happened... We know!  Dreams help us to achieve and believe!

The reason I look forward to bed is night is the ability to dream in depth about my life's dream!

Jeanne, I have followed several of my dreams.  One or two really were dreams... and had rainbows, as well.  Some turned into nightmares.  Problem is... you cannot tell beforehand which will be which.

And also, like Liz in #1... I DO look forward to going to bed each night, because I do dream a lot.  Wonder what that means ???

Jeanne and Ralph, I have followed my dreams through the years and some very up and some down but all were good... my wife and I are a little free spirited... love our friends, family, hobbies and believe it or not we both enjoy our careers... we have been fortunate that way! I love the photo!
