My Cary, NC Real Estate Story

After attending an extremely high-level momentum conference this past week with Alex Charfen and 50-60 of the top agents in the country, I learned that it was important to tell my story.

It is suggested that we share WHY real estate when asked about what we do, why are you in real estate, or perhaps tell me your real estate story.

Before getting it right where I want it, I am going to tell the story. Having lived in first Chicago and then Austin (IBM wife) and finally Raleigh/Cary, NC, the last move was the hardest. I had started a very successful trophy shop business in Austin, loved my freedom of being self employed, but whoa...what would I do in Cary?

After working with the school district for five years and outselling the full-time employees at a department store (I was part-time) my husband, Bud, suggested I sell something big...like houses or cars. I love decorating and designing, love people, but was petrified of the state course. I passed and was honored as an international rookie of the year my first year. Second year bought an old country home and turned it into a Bed and Breakfast and now have the joy of 28% of my real estate business coming from that venue, plus I do all client appreciation parties there.

I love clients being my raving fans and take this time of the year to thank each of them individually. I love the people I meet, I love the agents I work with, I love it all...even thought the market is down a little, life is good. Thank you Bud for joining me in real estate and especially for getting transferred to Cary, NC.
