Just downloaded Cat Tales onto my Android and I'm speed reading in Mel's guest room instead of packing my car to leave (LOL). Faith Hunter is a lot of fun to read. Ever check out Skinwalker? It's book one of the Jane Yellowrock series and if you go to Faith's website you can get a smoking hot free screen saver of her book's character here:

Yup. Downloaded that puppy. It's an awesome illustration so go get your ebook and free screen saver.

Psst... For those of you keeping author tree score - yeah - it's a Kim Harrison / Vicki Pettersson / Jocelynn Drake thing. We read everybody they say read. Why? Because they have excellent urban fantasy paranormal taste (and I hate wasting money on books that whomp - silly grin). If you really want to know what's going on you should read the Jane Yellowrock novels in order. It' a great series. I've got everything except Raven Cursed because it's not out until January 2012. ;-)

She has a cool Amazon bio too. Check this out:

"Faith Hunter, urban fantasy writer, was born in Louisiana and raised all over the south. Hunter fell in love with reading in fifth grade, and best loved SciFi, fantasy, and gothic mystery. She decided to become a writer in high school, when a teacher told her she had talent. Now, she writes full-time and works full-time in a hospital lab, (for the benefits) tries to keep house, and is a workaholic with a passion for travel, jewelry making, white-water kayaking, and writing. She and her husband love to RV, traveling with their dogs to whitewater rivers all over the Southeast."

"The dark urban fantasy Skinwalker series, featuring Jane Yellowrock is taking off like a rocket with Skinwalker, Blood Cross, Mercy Blade, the compilation e-book Cat Tales (December 2011) and Raven Cursed (January 2012)."

"Her Rogue Mage novels, a dark, urban fantasy series--Bloodring, Seraphs, and Host--feature Thorn St. Croix, a stone mage in a post-apocalyptic, alternate reality, urban fantasy world. These novels are the basis for the world book / role playing game, Rogue Mage. This RPG title will be out in December 2011."

"Under her pen name Gwen Hunter, she writes action adventure, mysteries, and thrillers. As Faith and Gwen, she has 28 books in print in 28 countries."

"Along with other published writers, Faith participates in an online writing community geared to helping fantasy writers with tips and publishing advice called"

Psst... If you lurk in her Facebook and Twitter streams you'll find yourself smiling over those RV adventures. Very cool personal blurbs that sometimes has us cracking up with laughter when things go sideways... If you haven't read Faith maybe you should consider taking Skinwalker out for a digital spin. By the time you finish it I bet you'll probably be just as hooked as the rest of us bookies and download the entire series to see where Faith is going with her kick a$$ character. ;-)
