It's all about traditions..............what's one of yours ?

I LOVE this time of the year. The lights on the tree's , homes all decked out, holiday music playing and the there's the traditions.

In our house starting around Dec 1st we pull out the Elf on The Shelf Book and have a little reading time.

                                             The elf on the shelf

Now for those of you who don't know about the elf he is a helper that reports back to Santa.

Kids may talk to him, but cannot touch him.

                                             Elfy

Now I don't know why it's the Elf on a Shelf, ours shows up in wine racks,on the tree and even on top of doors.

The first thing the kids do upon arrival is look for Elfy. Where is he now, and then their faces light up as the first to find him screams to the other come see where he is now.

So if you don't have a traddition, start one. May I suggest the Elf on a Shelf for the kids or grand-kids.

You would be amazed at how their behavior changes knowing

Elfy reports back to Santa LOL

I do not sell Elfy but you can get your own at elfontheshelf.com The site also let's you send letters to Santa and a whole bunch of other things Santa related.

                                    So whats your tradition ?????

Hi Don, What a wonderful tradition you have here. Elf on the Shelf brings a lot of excitement to all the children for sure, and even some adults may enjoy it too.

We have always had the tradition of decorating the tree together and then watching Elf. Love that movie and really shows the spirit of Christmas.
