Hello to all my friends out there. Its been a while since I have posted but recent events prompted me to put out the word. Many of you sometimes wonder what are the hottest trending items out there on the market, and where do I find them. The truth is the hottest items out there are right in your own car!! Let me explain.
Recently I was the unfortunate victim of a vehicle prowler while visiting downtown Seattle. The thief made off with my laptop computer and some small items in the bag. Now thankfully all my client information is kept in a secure online server and I do have several security measures to keep unwanted individuals out of my files, but all the same it is a nightmare to replace everything. Let's not forget the hassle of cancelling any of my personal financial or identity information that could be accessed. I dont care how good your security is, if you have information on your computer, and it falls into the hands of a professional hacker, they can access anything they want.
With the holiday season here, there has been a definite rise in theft, especially in large cities. Professional prowlers and small time bandits are out there looking to grab whatever they can to make a quick buck. They don't care if you have an alarm, or if your in a public lot in broad daylight. The important thing is what they see in your vehicle. I had all the above mentioned things going for me and I had the computer buried and covered. It didn't matter! He saw a vehicle with several suitcases, and car seats as I was with my family at the end of a trip. It takes them seconds to get in and only a minute to ransack the entire vehicle and get what they want. So as I reminder I want to tell everyone out there, to lock your doors, set your alarms, and most of all, make sure your car looks like it is empty. This is your best bet to keeping them out. For anyone who reads this and has any other ideas to help protect yourself please post them in a response for others to read. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a safe holiday season.
