Life With Wee People: Let the mayhem begin...
My kids are very excited that I brought some of our music and art toys. It's 70 degrees so when they get home from school we're going to be painting in the lanai. Stephen, the Minion Blur insisted that I unpack the car so we can set up a few illustrations and start our new gallery paintings. Seems he wants to color coordinate with his yellow and purple ball (LOL).
Remember our naked guest room that I've been whining about for almost two years? I'm temporarily dumping some of my equipment in there so I can put a bunch of book shelves together and a computer desk for my laptop. Three of the shelves are going under these three works of art in the living room against the den wall:

I'm thinking of creating a series of these with the shorties. They like helping me paint the backgrounds. ;-)
Hubby's portrait is going next to the back door between the living and dining rooms. I have dibs on the lanai and am chatting with Melodious about putting down a slate floor over the concrete. It's where I like to paint with the wee people. I'm thinking we should put up matchstick blinds too. The boys and I decided that spot is going to be arts and crafts central (silly grin). We're going to do a huge painting for The Man Cave. I'm thinking sporty wee people portraits would look nice in the garage. I'll have them pose by their bikes later so I can start sketching...
I got some very cool author portraits in progress for the home office. I shall save that post for later. It's a Girl's Club thing (yeah, my snarky NYC gal pals are coming down for vacation and a wee bit of house hunting - evil grin).
