Sun on fresh, crisp snow makes for a world of sparkles and child-like joy.  Boy do I love this town...

My parents are moving from Texas to Colorado next year, God willing, and have been grilling me about how our winters.  I assured them at Thanksgiving that it was never 'that bad' or 'that cold' here in Fort Collins.  Then we returned to town for over a week of near zero temps and multiple snow storms.  Since I'm now eating those words, I can report that they are crisp and cold with ironic overtones.

Happy Holidays!

Hi...I'm your distant neighbor on the Western Slope. Yes we have winter in Colorado...that is why people ski here. But I grew up in Iowa, and D@#$ it's cold there. I find Colorado winters much more enjoyable than the ones I grew up with. The snow comes and then leaves...it comes again, melts again and repeat. I know it sounds trite, but our air is dry and the cold doesn't feel as cold. Of course if you are coming from Texas...well cold is cold. I hope your parents have a wonderful and safe move.

Merry Christmas.

PS...I love your picture. I also really like Fort Collins. We go there about once a year...usually for the Grateful Disc Disc Golf Tournament. Way to go Bill Wright for this wonderful event.
