Designboards: like a Virtual Staging
Staging to live has a different objective than staging to sell. However, homeowners and Sellers alike share a disconnect when it comes to visualizing how a home could look professionally staged. Either a homeowner who simply wants an update, or a Seller who needs to optimize their home's MLS photos, struggle with seeing the end result.
Take a look at these before and after shots of one interior redesign (staging to live) client who needed help seeing how new bedding and a few accessories could give their master bedroom a more sophisticated, cohesive look.

The client didn't want to re-paint the red wall and didn't need new furniture. Adequate lighting was non-existent. They sought a more contemporary look, but for budget reasons, needed to use existing furniture and area rug. Oh, and we needed to keep in mind that their sweet, black Portuguese Water Dog enjoyed her afternoon naps on that bed, too!
Creating a Designboard is a powerful tool to help homeowners or Sellers visualize how a staged home might look. Its a tangible vision that suddenly makes sense. Now, they understand how staging to sell, or to live, could benefit them.
And, the "staged to live" end result...

Designboards help alleviate the fear factor for homeowners and Sellers. Once they're able to visualize how the transformation might look, they can be comfortable making the leap to stage their home to live, or to sell.
Cheers to a successful sale!
