Motivational Power Quote

Self-Talk

“The way we communicate with others and with ourselves

ultimately determines the quality of our lives .”

Anthony Robbins, author, motivational speaker

As I see it . . . . . . .

Self-talk

Self-talk is the communications that we have with ourselves.

Positive self-talk is the inner voice that inspirers us to pick up the pierces after a failure or a setback and try again. That voice tells us to keep trying until we succeed.

Our self-talk can lift us to greater heights when it’s positive and sink us to the depths of despair when it negative.

Our self-talk is playing in the background without much fanfare, but it’s always there and running. Your self-talk will play a major role in your career and in your relationships.

The quality of your self-talk will be reflected in the quality of your life.

Nurture your positive self-talk and it will lift you and your career to new heights.

When negative self-talk creeps into your thinking make a conscious effort to change the negative self-talk into positive affirmations and work on removing the negative self-talk from your thinking. Negative self-talk can be challenging to change but it can be done when your committed to change it.

The way you communicate with yourself is a mirror image of the way you communicate with other people.

You are right on in reference to the negative self talk. I make it a point every morning in front of the mirror, while getting ready for the day, to do away with negative thinking. Thanks for sharing.

This is a true statement! Always keep it positive and surround yourself with positive people. It's easy to speak something negative into existence. I missed Tony Robbins when he came to our office, but I'll have to catch the next one that comes around.

Hi, Lou -- great post.  we are communicating to ourselves, all the time, for better or worse.  just like many of us play that highlight reel, of our past, in our head.  We can choose to focus on the positive or negative moments and messages and I have had to work on this, myself.  it is a work in progress!  happy holidays, Eric

You must practice positive self-talk all the time. And, when negative self-talk creeps in, replace it with positive self-talk. Thanks for the reminder!
