Calling All Ethical Realtors Our There!!!

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty

WOW, business is bad. Really bad for some agents. Spoke with a fellow agent this evening. Seems a former Teamleader is trying to scam off some of her hard-earned closing money by claiming he referred a listing to her. Actually, the listing was hers, she brought it to the Team. It was withdrawn, then she left the Team and it was relisted with her again.

I just can't understand how some people can stoop so low and try and steal (yes, that is what I call it!) other peoples money.

I guess we are all different and have different ethics. I just wish some common sense and decency could prevail!!

In competition, desperation makes people do crazy things.  I'm guessing this is happening alot right now in those markets where depreciation is occuring.(Calif, Arizona, FL, etc.)

This is what you will get with out a team written agreement with in the team.  I always spell out what is going to happen with any partnership. Lesson Learned.

Gary, I loved your thought on writing a Team Agreement within the Team. Definitely something I would consider doing knowing what I do now!

With a "business is bad" attitude, then these things will always happen. Business is GREAT right now to be honest. I love this market!! As for the rest - sounds to me like the team has a point (oh and by the way - I don't like teams).
