Vail, Colorado Daily Photo: If we can't have snow, let us have Icons! The Mountain is open and skiing is more than accpetable for this time of year but.....a little more snow would be nice! Maybe a few inches will arrive tonight.
In the meantime, a walk in Vail Village results in some nice, iconic views Pepi's, Gorsuch and the Clock Tower - Has anyone who has been to Vail not seen these? Kind of like the Eiffel Tower but still a nice scene.

I hope you get that snow you're holding out on. I sure have been craving a good ski trip lately. I'm going to do my best to satisfy that craving soon.
I am surprise there aren't any snow yet there. It has been a crazy year with crazy weather all over the country.
What a lovely area to live in! I don't ski, but my big memory of Vail was trying to get back from Aspen to Denver several years ago. There was a lot of snow and the train tracks were blocked, so we took a shuttle, which had to wait in Vail until they blew up a hillside of snow that was threatening to avalanche onto the highway. Fun!
