We had our final Team Meeting of 2006 yesterday. Apart from the mundane tasks of everyone signing the cards to past clients - we had quite an assembly line going - think Lucy at the Chocolate Factory! - we wrapped up with a recap of 2006 and a look forward to 2007.
2006 was an interesting year for the team. We had intentionally distilled the members down to the core group prior to making the move to Keller Williams in August, and are now in recruiting mode to build back up to previous levels. We hope to add at least five more (Buyer Associates) to kick off 2007.
Rich Pieropan, our Director of Associate Development - a.k.a. Lead Buyer Specialist will have his Brokers license in the next couple of months, bringing the number of Brokers on our team to three!
Ken Spencer, Buyer Associate and Director of Recruiting, is flexing his recruiting muscles gleaned from 35 years in Human Resources, most recently prior to retirement being responsible for recruiting pilots for a major airline.
Nicole Whitman, our Listing Coordinator and Transaction Manager, is working diligently with me to ensure all our back office systems are in place to smoothly accomodate the expanding team.
Tony is - well - Tony is doing what he always does - making rain! As our Rainmaker Team Leader he always has many ideas and irons in the fire to create and attract more business for the team. That's what he does best - I just have to keep him focused - you know what I mean!
One item on his agenda was to "encourage" all team members to get involved with Active Rain. I think he mentioned it at least seven times (so it should stick in the memory) and each team member will be reading "Realty Blogging" and getting involved in blogging by the end of the year!
I hope all of you reading this are conducting similar assessments of 2006 in review and planning for 2007. I hope your plans for next year include participation in Active Rain!
