BankerREO.com Scam $350

Don't spend your $350 when the scam from BankerREO.com comes along.  I wasn't paying good attention and I fell for this one, be aware of the scam by this name or any other.

I was contacted by BankerREO.com to sign up for BPO and REO Assignments, for a $345 annual membership fee.  In hindsight, I did a WHOIS search for this company's website and it shows that it was created on June 14, 2011, and they are based out of Illinois!  There website address is: www.bankerreo.com  Does anyone have any experiences that they would like to share with this one?

The lady I dealt with was named Jessica Necomb, her phone number was 847-454-7889, and she used the email address jnewcomb@bankerreo.com.  I also dealt with Alex Fulman at afulman@bankerreo.com.  They had me fill out w-9 forms and pretty standard looking reo lisitng agreement for the 30 or so zip codes they stated I would be their representative in.

They went as far as to request a drive by appraisal from me on a property that was a short sale.  That was over two months ago and still no paycheck as promised.  The website interface was much like many of the valid REO asset manager webistes I have worked with.

So as always, buyer beware! and Don't spend your $350 when the scam from BankerREO.com comes along.

Thanks for the comment Jason, I am working on that with my card now!  I guess some people just think it is easier to scam people than to work honestly and hard for their successes.

Same thing happened to me in Arkansas.  Got a call from Vincent a few times asking questions on my experience, etc.  I was with a client the first time he called, so I could not talk long.  Vincent called later, and I wasn't 100 % comfortable. They seem to be legitimate on their talk and website that I fell for.  Hours later I did some research and found out  it is a scam to take one's hard earning money. I called credit card company to fight this one.  I am going to call the local boards and ask them to spread the word about this false company.

Thank you so much for your information!

I received a call on my cell phone from "Nelson" (847-380-6340) at BankerREO who asked me first off what my experience with REOs was, then said he had a property in my area that needed a BPO done; he said that if they got the property as an REO, I would get the listing.  Then he said that I would need to sign up for their proprietary platform for $349.

I told him I would call him back in 10 minutes.

In that time I did a quick google search and your review popped up (thank you!)

I called him back, from my office this time because I wanted to at least do him the courtesy of telling him to pound sand and it rang a half dozen times before a message came on saying "the magic jack customer you are trying to call is unavailable."  Really?  Majic Jack? Really professional.

I got a call back on my office phone from "Nelson" who this time identified himself as "Simon", realized his mistake just as the name left his mouth, and about choked on it.  Then he went Silent.  I said hello a couple of times, and then he hung up.

WOW!

For all your real estate needs!

Thank's so much for posting these scam companies.  I just got a call from a Greg Wilson with www.bankerreo.com.

He told me there was an exterior bpo in the area.  The fee would be $75.00.  He also said I would also do an interior bpo on it later for $120.00 and then I would be guaranteed the REO listing.

I asked him the address and he wouldnt say.  He said he'd get the address from his superviser as soon as I paid the $350.00 fee.

I told him I would have to look into it before I give him any money.

So glad I did.

Be careful out there folks!!

I got a call from a Robert Johnson with the same company and phone number stating the same that he had a couple of properties in my area that needed BPO and guaranteed one would become a listing. Asked for the same $349.00 fee to give me the addresses. I was driving at the time and could not give any information told him I would call back when I get back to office. I have since missed to calls from him and just saw this post and thank you for saving me the money. We need to keep this up.

Thanks Shane - I rec'd a call yesterday from bankerreo.com - I couldn't talk so he called me back today.  He told me he has 3 BPO'S he needs me to do right away and that I would get the listings.  I was starting to fall for it but searched the company on activerain while I was speaking to him and found this post as well as some others.  I told him his company has some pretty negative reviews on activerain and he said "what is active rain"  - LOL!  Thanks so much for sharing!!!

MICHELE FROM OHIO

I AM SO MAD...... I fell for this also.  It sounded just like other bpo companies. I received

a call from Greg Wilson 224-210-2269.  He assigned three bops to me and i did not accept them right away.  he called several times till I did.  I was sent a Master Service Agreemetn to signt between me and Banker Reo Company.  I received emails also acknowledging my assignm, ents.  acknowledging they were submitted everything seemed fine till I was not receiving payment.  I called and they told me they would check withthe accounting department to process.

I AM SO MAD.......

WHAT COMES AROUND GOES AROUND THEY WILL ANSWER FOR THIS SOON.
