Commute From Quincy into Boston

By

One of the most important things that people think about when deciding where to move to is:

How will my commute to work be?

There is not too much that you can do in your car on the way to work, maybe listen to your favorite radio show or even a book on tape. You can potentially talk on the phone... But, in all fairness not too many people enjoy sitting in their car for over an hour to get to work and even worse to get home from work. I often wonder how many days of my life I pass by sitting in a car trying to get from place A to place B.

The bottom line is that when you are thinking about moving to a new location, one of the factors that comes into play is how long it will take you to get to work.

Commute to Boston

If you live in Quincy, MA and you work in Downtown Boston, you will have to drive from 8-12 miles to get into work.

You can either hop onto 93 and drive in on the highway. My favorite way to drive into the city is to completely bypass the highway and drive straight in on Morrissey Boulevard. This way may be a bitter longer with regards to miles but traffic moves quickly!

Good morning, Ciara...you're right....the #1 concern when relocating is the commute to the workplace.....Quincy is a perfect location for anyone who works in Boston....it's minutes away and an easy commute.... those who are thinking of moving closer to Boston should call Ciara Brennan, an agent who knows her marketplace.

Barabara, thank you for you kind comment! I know that I have had long commutes in the past and it was not an enjoyable way to spend my time.

my husband drives about a half hour.  Me ... five minutes... sometimes I envy him, I used to have a 20 minute commute (moved) and I used it to unwind from my day.

It helps if there is public transportation option  just in case your car breaks down or the weather is bad and you have to be to work on time.
