An Update on the Missing Drone Debacle

It is hard to imagine that the media and the Obama Administration do not take the missing drone seriously.  Bear in mind that this was not a standard drone - it was our most advanced, technological marvel.  It included stealth technology that took us 40 years to develop (it is based on certain radio isotopes that absorb doppler instead of reflecting doppler).  The technology has been studied since WWII.  German scientists began working on stealth technology and our government brought them here to develop this vital technology (I have met on of the scientists, God rest his soul).

President Obama "politely" asked for teh drone back.  President Obama publicly acknowledged for the first time yesterday that Iran is holding a special stealth US drone that went down over its territory.

“We have asked for it back. We’ll see how the Iranians respond,” Obama told reporters at a White House press conference alongside Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki.  Yeh, THAT is going to happen. They are trying to reverse engineer it as we speak and then they will sell it to China and Russia.

We all know that it could have and can be destroyed...but now it is in the hands of those that seek to hurt many people.

I do have faith that it will take the Iranians years to reverse engineer the drone...but this was a huge unforgivable mistake that this administration has made.

The only good thing that cam eout of this was a line by Jay Leno....Iran is now in possession of an American drone. When I heard that I thought, "Oh, my god, they captured Joe Biden?"

Hi Paddy,  Not sure how losing the drone was Obamas fault.  I would have thought something like this would have some explosive on board for times like this when the technology fails.

Bill, Losing the drone was not his fault....but a lame response to Iran in "politely" asking for it back IS his fault...as is the fact that it had to come from someone high up in the administration to NOT destroy the drone once it went missing. we can unlock cars from satellites; trust me that drone could have been destroyed.

Paddy -- Jay's comment was great!  How is it that we couldn't still destroy the drone?  Oh, I forgot, they may have scientists working on it that would be killed (how about if we give them x hours to return it or it goes boom?)

Bill, of course it's BHO's fault.  There was a plan in place to get it back or destroy it...  you think it got nixed by anyone other than him?  We can still do something if he wasn't so busy kissing up to the middle east and campaigning.

Bad enough to lose one...how about the second one off the Seychelles? Just how many newscasters reported that?

It didn't go boom.

Paddy:

Very interesting developments. It is more important to pay attention to the unspoken.  We cannot show our hands...but consider this...our most advanced drone was shot down, what does that suggest?  The Iranians are probably far more advanced in their technology than the public knows.  During the Iraqi War, we had issues with them when they breach the border.  It is time to go back to the drawing board...

lloyd there is no evidence that it was shot down...in fact, the images that the Iranians proudly displayed show that it was in tact. It propbably went out of RC range.  This was out latest tchnology and I feel stronger than ever that the cuurent administration has failed to take steps tp destroy the drone...they absolutely could and military protocol would be to destroy it instantly, so someone high up (if not Obama himself) gave the order to NOT destroy it
