2011 Holiday Event in Ventura County: North Pole Express Train

Celebrating the holidays on a vintage train if fun for the whole family.  Every year, kids come in their pajamas and bring their teddy bears for the trip on the "North Pole Express".

Making the trip to the North Pole exciting are Santa’s elves.  To help make sure you get into the spirit of the holiday, there is holiday storytelling and Christmas caroling along with cookies and milk.  The only things you have to do are show up and believe!



When:    December 3rd thru December 26th
Where:   Santa’s Village at 364 Main St. in Fillmore
Time:     6:00pm & 7:30pm (some 4:30pm departures may be added w/o notice)
Tickets:  Adults:  $29  Kids 2-12:  $19  Under 2:  Free (on lap)

Donne, This loos like fun.  We have a train that goes from the Boardwalk to the Redwoods all holiday decked out.  It's a nice thing to do to bring in the cheer.

Christine - This is a lot of fun!  They have several special holiday trains throughout the year but the Christmas one is my fave.

Larry & Jacque - Well we don't get any snow around here in Los Angeles & Ventura counties but it does get pretty cold.

Brenda - Personally, I've never gone in my jammies but I have seen some of the kids in their jammies.

Lisa - This is a huge fave with families and kids but even us big kids can get a kick out of it.

Susan - It's one of my fave holiday events, this one and the Oxnard Christmas Tree Lane.

George - This is such a huge family event here. Personally though, I love seeing how much the kids enjoy themselves.

Jane G - It is a lot of fun, even if you're not a kid.

Jane P - It's up in Fillmore in the Santa Rosa Valley so it does get really cold there but no snow.

Lisa - Even though I don't have kids, I will tell you that it is blast!  You don't have to be a kid to enjoy this event.  :)

Kat - Oh, it is sooo much fun!  I speak from experience when I say that! 

Scott - While these trains to get booked too, one can still get a reservation with even just a little planning.  While this weekend is booked, there are still tickets available for next week.

Ron - I agree, half the fun is watching the kids.  They are such a trip!  :)

Tammy - I know, we are so lucky to have the Fillmore Railways because they have so many special excursions throughout the year for every holiday.  They're popular here.  :)

Gene - While the kids do have a blast, I can vouch for us big "kids" that it's just as fun for us too!
