Do you have any unwanted books, CD's or DVD's? Newburyport now has a bookdrop where you may donate these items.The proceeds will go to a good cause! The Friends of the Council on Aging will recieve the funds to be used for the proposed Senior Center.
Got Books, a New England Fundraising Organization places containers at the request of towns, companies or indivduals where books, cd's and dvd's may be donated and then collects these items from the containers. They bring them back to their warehouse and the items are handsorted. Some go tol retail stores, get sold online, or get donated to local troops. They then send a check to the permit holder of the container.
The bookdrop is located at Cushing Park (corner of Buck Street and Washington Street). You may place any books, cd's or dvd's in the container that you would like to donate, and hlep make the senior center a reality
