Adventure Flight Training located at the Lancaster Airport helps train persons interested in getting their pilot's license. This airport and services like Adventure Flight Training is one of the benefits of Living in Lancaster. I recently met John Calla at Career Day at Lancaster Mennonite Schools. He graciously invited me to come by and check them out.

I did stop by to learn more about his flight training and about the Bristell airplane. One of the unexpected happenings was that I got to go on a flight and even had the controls for a very small amount of time. It was scary and exciting at the same time.

John has become the dealer for the entire US market for the Bristell aircraft. He is building a network of dealers in promoting this aircraft. I was very impressed with this lightweight plane. If you are interested in learning more about flying or the Bristell aircraft, give John a call.

I was unaware of the Bristell aircraft. It must be in the LSA (light sport aircraft) category. The category allows for less flight instruction to obtain the limited pilot's certification (license). It also allows for your driver's license to serve as your medical certification. That plane would look great with "Living In Lancaster" written on the side. (smile)

Steve, you are clearly very knowledgeable. It is an LTA and I learned more from you regarding the qualifications needed. The Bri STELL is new to the US. The designer is from the Czech Republic and John is introducing it to the US market. The pronunciation is important is one of the things I learned from our meeting. It is not like Bristol, IN but a more smooth European sound of Bri STELL. Do you live in one of the homes on the runway?
