Christmas Eve Services in Friendswood, TexasChristmas Eve will be a busy night in Friendswood, Texas! Most of the churches in town have Christmas Eve services and activities planned – there’s something for everyone! Here are the scheduled Christmas Eve services for a few of the churches in Friendswood.

 

Friendswood United Methodist Church

FUMC has four services to choose from for Christmas Eve, and all will be candlelight services.

3:00 p.m. – Celebration of Love

This is a service designed for young children and their families. It will be led by Children’s Director Lee Ann Love, with the Combined Children’s Choirs.

5:00 p.m. – Celebration of Praise

Raise your voices in joyous praise of the coming King at this contemporary Christmas Eve service. Reverend Jim Bass and the Celebrate Praise Team will lead the service.

7:00 p.m. – Celebration of Joy

Experience the traditional sounds and liturgy of Christmas Eve. Reverend Jim Bass will be preaching. Chancel Choir, Spirit Singers, ensembles and soloists will perform.

11:00 p.m. – Celebration of Peace

This will be a quiet service of communion to welcome the birth of Christ. Reverend Howard Huhn will be preaching.

 

Friendswood Community Church

There will be three Christmas Eve services at Friendswood Community Church: 3 p.m., 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. Children’s programs will be held at the 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. services.

 

First Baptist Friendswood

The First Baptist Church will have Christmas Eve services in the Family Life Center with a family-friendly service at 5 p.m. and a candlelight service at 6 p.m.

 

Friendswood Friends Church

At Friendswood's historical Friends Church, Christmas Eve candlelight services will be held at 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. Child care will be provided at the 6 p.m. service, with music led by a worship band. The 10 p.m. service will have music led by piano and organ.

 

Mary Queen Catholic Church

There are several Masses going on at Mary Queen Church for Christmas Eve.

5:30 p.m. – Children’s Liturgy in the church, Life Teen Choir

5:30 p.m. – Vigil Liturgy in the hall, MQ Music Ministry

8:00 p.m. – Vigil Liturgy in the church, Life Teen Choir

11:30 p.m. – Choral Musical Presentation – MQ Choir

12:00 Midnight Mass – MQ Choir

 

Hope Lutheran Church

The Lutheran Church in Friendswood has two services planned for Christmas Eve.

5:30 p.m. – Christmas Eve Family Service

Celebrate and worship the newborn King in a family-friendly service.

7:30 p.m. – Christmas Eve Candlelight Service

Celebrate Holy Communion at 7:30 and 11 p.m.

What great themse there are for Celebration! Lets hope the churches are filled to capacity and people really pray for peace, the economy, food, jobs, and lets pray people in high places will STOP being selfish and corrupt. We need to pray for STRONG, HONEST, LEADERSHIP.
